A government and public affairs consultant with over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology, policy, and law.
Garrett began his career at Google, where he earned a Global Innovation Award, before pursuing a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He has served as Legislative Director in the Texas House of Representatives and held key roles with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, including Senior Advisor and Senior Legislative Counsel.
He leverages that experience to drive advocacy and community change. A native of Houston, Garrett holds a BA in Economics from Morehouse College and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
